CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE COMPOSICIÓN MUSICAL

Tema: "Música Para La Misa Dominical"
El concurso consiste en una composición musical para la Misa Dominical para Cuarteto de Cuerdas y Voz (soprano). La Misa debe contener: Himno de Entrada, Señor ten Piedad, Gloria, Aclamación al Evangelio, Himno de Ofertorio, Santo, Aclamación Memorial, Amen, Cordero de Dios, Himno de Comunión E Himno de Salida.
Lenguaje: Español, con una Traducción al Inglés.
Duración: Máximo de 30 Minutos.
La competencia es abierta a compositores de todas las nacionalidades sin edad límite.
Un panel conformado por prestigiosos jueces será el encargado del proceso de semifinal y final. Sus nombres serán revelados después de cerrado el proceso de admisión.
10 Misas serán seleccionadas vía Internet por votantes de todo el mundo.
5 Semifinalistas serán elegidos. Luego 3 finalistas, cuyas misas serán ejecutadas en vivo por el Ensamble del concurso dirigida por Mr. Ramón Catalan.

Premios
*Primer Premio U$ 5000 dólares y presentaciones en New York.
*Segundo Premio U$ 1500 dólares y presentaciones en New York.
*Tercer Premio: U$ 500 dólares.

XI Concurso de Composición Pablo Sorozabal

La Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa ha publicado las bases de la convocatoria del XI Concurso Internacional de Composición Musical Pablo Sorozabal (Boletín Oficial de Gipuzkoa de 22 de ocubre de 2010) para obras escritas para formación de cuarteto de cuerda. El concurso está abierto a compositoras y compositores nacidos a partir del 1 de enero de 1975, que podrán participar con el número de obras que deseen. El plazo de recepción de partituras será entre el 22 de noviembre de 2010 y el 18 de febrero de 2011.

BASES:

1. PARTICIPANTES

1.1 El concurso está abierto a las compositoras y compositores nacidos a partir del 1 de Enero de 1975. Podrán participar con el número de obras que deseen siempre que cumplan los requisitos establecidos por las presentes bases.

2. OBRAS

2.1 Las obras presentadas al Concurso serán individuales y absolutamente originales y no podrán estrenarse ni editarse antes de la resolución del Concurso.

2.2 Las obras deberán estar escritas para formación de cuarteto de cuerda. La estética y técnica de la obra serán libres.

2.3 Las obras legibles y suficientemente encuadernadas, deberán enviarse, por duplicado, a la Dirección General de Promoción y Difusión Cultural de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa con la mención: “para el XI Concurso de Composición Pablo Sorozabal”.
La obra deberá llevar su título original y ningún nombre de autor/a sino un lema que figurará en un sobre cerrado adjunto, dentro del cual deberá figurar fotocopia compulsada de un documento oficial de identificación, nombre, dirección, e-mail, teléfono y breve curriculum vitae.

2.4 La duración de la composición no deberá exceder de los 25 minutos.

3. JURADO

3.1 El Jurado que resuelva el Concurso será designado por la organización y estará formado por personalidades de reconocido prestigio en materia musical.

4. PREMIOS

4.1 Se establece un premio de 3.500 euros. (TRES MIL QUINIENTOS) y diploma acreditativo.

4.2 Se podrá conceder un accésit complementario sin dotación económica. Se concederá diploma acreditativo.

4.3 Asimismo se podrá declarar desierto el premio del Concurso, si la calidad de las obras presentadas no se estimara suficiente.

5. INSCRIPCIONES

5.1 Las obras deberán remitirse a:

El plazo de recepción de partituras será entre el 22 de noviembre de 2010 y el 18 de febrero de 2011.

5.2 La persona galardonada se compromete a mencionar en conciertos, grabaciones, ediciones, etc, que la obra es premio del XI Concurso de Composición Pablo Sorozabal.

5.3 La Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa se compromete a estrenar la obra premiada en el marco de la edición del Festival “Quincena Musical” y el “Ciclo Musical de Deba”

5.4 El material de ejecución de la obra galardonada correrá a cargo de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa.

5.5 Los derechos de propiedad intelectual quedarán en poder de los/as autores/as de las obras. No obstante cederán los derechos de propiedad intelectual que sean precisos conforme a la Ley 1/1996 de 12 de abril de Propiedad Intelectual para el estreno de las obras premiadas por la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa.

5.6 La concurrencia al concurso supone la aceptación expresa y formal de las bases publicadas en el B.O.G nº 203 de 22 de octubre de 2010. El fallo será inapelable.

La Fundación Marcelino Botín de Santander acaba de abrir la IX edición del Concurso Internacional de Composición Pianística Manuel Valcárcel. La convocatoria está abierta a todos los compositores de cualquier nacionalidad sin que exista límite en cuanto al número de obras a presentar.

Entries for the Gaudeamus Music Week 2011 must be received by January 31, 2011.

Composers of any nationality who are born after September 6, 1980 may enter works which may already have been performed, but they must have been composed not more than three (3) years ago.

An international selection committee will select the works that will compete for the Gaudeamus Prize. After the performance of the selected compositions during the International Gaudeamus Music Week 2011, from 5 to 12 September, the selection committee will award this prize. This Gaudeamus Prize consists of € 4.550 as a commission for a new composition that will be premiered during the Week the following year, 2012.

Works can be entered into the following categories with a maximum of 2 works per category and 4 works in total.

  1. A CHAMBER MUSIC:
    In theory, everything is possible in this category, within the limits of solo instruments to ensembles consisting of maximally 16 instruments; with or without electronics, video, etc.
    Also possible are works written for specific performers or for any musician /ensemble such as Ensemble KLANG: 1 Saxophone (or Bb Clarinet), 1 Saxophone, 1 Trombone (alto or tenor), 1 Piano, 1 Percussion, 1 Guitar (electric or bass) and electronics or at least 4 of the above instruments. www.ensembleklang.com
    Also choir compositions with a maximum of voices: 2 sopr., 2 mezzo., 2 alt., 2 ten., 2 bas. www.vocaallab.com and works for gamelan ensemble like last year are also possible:www.gending.nl
  2. B ELECTRONIC MUSIC:
    Electronic music meaning tape compositions, music for instruments and electronics, music for live controlled electronic music, or sound installations. For this category add an audio or video file and no computer programs.

The composer's name may not appear in the materials so that the selection committee can judge the score anonymously.

The entry fee is € 25 for each work and should be paid before January 31, 2011 using the online payment system PayPal on the www.musicweek.nl

Composers can enter their work(s)

  • by providing the link to download the files on the online entry form.
  • by sending to our email address musicweek@mcn.nl in one mail (for each work): your score (PDF) and audio or video file (mp3/wav/avi/mp4) named after the title of the work or over 10 MB via www.yousendit.com as one zip file.
    The composer's name may not appear in the materials
  • by sending the material together with a print of your entry form to our postal address: International Gaudeamus Music Week 2011, c/o Music Center the Netherlands, Rokin 111, 1012 KN Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The composer must provide the performance material if the work has been selected by the selection committee. The performance may not result in charges, such as rental fees, for teh Gaudeamus Music Week, the performers, the radio, or cd-producer.

During the International Gaudeamus Music Week composers, whose work have been selected will be invited and accommodation will be provided.

By entering his/her work(s), the participant indicates his/her acceptance of these conditions and the decisions of the selection committee. Works by composers who do not comply with the requirements above will be disqualified.

The Respighi Prize has been established to encourage and offer a performance opportunity for young talented composers and soloists through the inspiration of Ottorino Respighi’s music. / Il Premio Respighi e’ stato istituito per incoraggiare e offrire un’opportunita’ di esecuzione a giovani compositori e solisti di talento, ispirandosi alla figura e all’opera di Ottorino Respighi.

The Chamber Orchestra of New York was established for leading young professionals, and to promote the music of renowned composer Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936) alongside the orchestral repertoire. Known for his Roman trilogy (including Pines of Rome), Respighi’s orchestral works are considered the culmination of the Italian symphonic repertoire. Equally important, Respighi embraced the continuity of tradition with a love of the ancient world, a respect for antiquity, and thereby promoted a renaissance of musical ideas within the context of late 19th and 20th century elements. / La Chamber Orchestra of New York e’ stata istituita per giovani musicisti emergenti, e per promuovere, accanto al repertorio tradizionale, la musica del celebre compositore Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936). Famoso per la sua trilogia romana, con le sue opere orchestrali Respighi si colloca al culmine del repertorio musicale sinfonico Italiano. The Respighi Prize competition is open to young composers and soloists (instrumental and vocal) under 40 years of age, of all nationalities, currently enrolled in (or recent graduates of) music conservatory or college (including preparatory or post-certificate programs) from all over the world. / Il Premio Respighi e’ aperto ai giovani compositori e solisti (strumento e voce) che non abbiano compiuto 40 anni, di ogni nazionalita’, attualmente iscritti (o diplomati) nei conservatori musicali o altre scuole universitarie di musica (inclusi gli anni pre-corso universitario o post-laurea).
